Canon Campaign Evaluation and Final Product

Image
Once I had finished producing and editing my print advert- I wrote an evaluation to tie together everything I had done for this campaign- including the beginning stages of research- to the very end of post production.

After I had finished my production and post production, I had to write an evaluation of the entire project, explaining my ideas and what I thought of the final product that I created.

Canon Campaign Production Diary

28/01/22 Today I took the photos I would need for this campaign. I had the model standing, holding a ripped piece of paper with words relating to mental health- as if showing ripping through the struggles of mental health. I used a Canon eos 400D camera to take these photos- and I used the studio room light rather than a spotlight- so that the models face was not too bright in the photos. 01/02/22 Today I started editing the photos on photoshop. I copied the best image over from my SD card. I combed through the images and chose the one that had the best lighting and the best look to me. I started by lightening some of the areas of the image- and with feedback from my lecturer I started to make word art to go over the top of the paper rather than the printed words that were already on the paper. I started off doing this by using the clone stamp tool to extend the paper- as there were pieces of the original background in the corners of the image. I then used the magnetic lasso tool ...

Post Production- Peer Feedback

Image
After I finished the first edit of my advert I created a google form to receive feedback. I screened my advert to a small focus group so that I could receive their thoughts on the advert. After I received the feedback I took it all into account- and if any feedback mentioned areas I could improve in the editing process I aimed to go back and tweak the editing to fix it. The feedback I received was mostly about how the camera was shaky when I filmed- but I have tried to change that in editing with video effects. Unfortunately- the effect to stabilize the footage made the footage incredibly choppy- so I had to take away the effect so that the entire advert was not full of lag. Another thing that was said was that the transition between the first two clips- but after I asked that member of the group what they meant they said it was not so much a problem with editing as it was filming. With how far along we are in the campaign I did not want to reshoot the scenes- as that would take t...

Canon Campaign Pre-Production

For the campaign- before I started the production of my print advert- I had to complete pre-production. For this campaign pre-production consisted of a contributor release form and a risk assessment. I had to fill out the contributor release form so that I had permission from the model to use her image in the advert. I had to fill out a risk assessment so that I took into account what risks we would encounter in the studio. I then had to describe what risk it was- and what measures I would take to control these risks. Alongside the risk assessment and release form- I had to fill out a personnel list- to show who would be in my crew for this campaign- their role and their number (Blurred out for privacy).
