Post Production- Peer Feedback

After I finished the first edit of my advert I created a google form to receive feedback. I screened my advert to a small focus group so that I could receive their thoughts on the advert. After I received the feedback I took it all into account- and if any feedback mentioned areas I could improve in the editing process I aimed to go back and tweak the editing to fix it. The feedback I received was mostly about how the camera was shaky when I filmed- but I have tried to change that in editing with video effects. Unfortunately- the effect to stabilize the footage made the footage incredibly choppy- so I had to take away the effect so that the entire advert was not full of lag.

Another thing that was said was that the transition between the first two clips- but after I asked that member of the group what they meant they said it was not so much a problem with editing as it was filming. With how far along we are in the campaign I did not want to reshoot the scenes- as that would take time away from editing and everything post production.

From the feedback I was given I also saw that everyone understood what the point of the advert was (for the campaign) yet 1 person did not know who the client was- despite the Mind logo and tagline at the end of the advert.

Overall- the focus group that I screened the advert to rated it average 8 out of 10- with 1 person rating it a 9 out of 10. Overall I believe my advert will be successful- with maybe a few tweaks to try and stabilize the footage with a different effect so that there is no lag- and maybe a different transition between the first two clips to separate them. After I do this I will upload my advert to my YouTube channel ready for the deadline.
