Canon Rationale

 

For this campaign I had to make a rationale- so that I could show it to a small focus group and get their feedback on it. Unfortunately I did not get any written or recorded feedback but I did get verbal. The focus group mentioned that my rationale was good- and that my idea for the campaign was unique.

Canon Campaign Pre-Production

 For the campaign- before I started the production of my print advert- I had to complete pre-production. For this campaign pre-production consisted of a contributor release form and a risk assessment. I had to fill out the contributor release form so that I had permission from the model to use her image in the advert. I had to fill out a risk assessment so that I took into account what risks we would encounter in the studio. I then had to describe what risk it was- and what measures I would take to control these risks. Alongside the risk assessment and release form- I had to fill out a personnel list- to show who would be in my crew for this campaign- their role and their number (Blurred out for privacy).

Smile Campaign Production Diary

13/01/22   As of today I have completed filming the college classroom scene. I have recorded some behind the scenes footage and also filmed multiple drafts of the scene. I will go through each of these recordings and narrow it down to the best footage that was taken once I have recorded the rest of the scenes, which should be done by the end of next week.   For the first day of filming I used a Canon camera for the shots- and I used a shoulder level shot as I followed the actress into the classroom.   I had the actors following the script directly so that the scene was as scripted and I managed the actors effectively.   I believe the actual shot went well- as well as filming multiple shots so that I could pick the best one once I start to edit the footage- however I believe I could've filmed more shots so that I had more options- but I did not so that the actors did not feel overworked and get tired of filming. Podcast Production Resources

  Microphones For the podcast we will be using a Rode NT1A microphone to record the episode. It is a large diaphragm condenser microphone. This type of microphone is appropriate as  it is suited to record studio vocals- as opposed to a handheld microphone which is most suited for vocals outside of the studio. Recording vocals on a diaphragm condenser microphone will make the vocals clearer on the track. In our last podcast we used a dynamic microphone to record- there are a few differences between these two mics. The main difference is that a dynamic microphone is better for capturing loud sounds- such as drums or loud vocals, whereas a condenser microphone is used to capture more delicate sounds- like studio vocals. A condenser will be better suited for this recording as we will be recording the episode in a studio, and it will be able to pick up the vocals better than a dynamic microphone.
