Describe your p odcas t:   What do you hope to achieve? What is the purpose/function of the work? Is it for entertainment, promotion, information, education etc ? What is the structure ?   In my podcast I aim to make my audience smile with whatever I talk about in the podcast. I will do this by using the research I did on my audience to see what they do to make them happy and what makes them smile. In my podcast I will talk about these things in hope that the people listening will relate to these things and they will make them smile. The podcast will be a promotion for the mental health charity Mind, whilst also being an informative podcast- informing people of things they could do to make them smile. I believe the podcast will remain unstructured as of now, just to ensure that there is no one reading directly from a script, as that is not what happens in most podcasts, and they run freely and smoothly with no scripted content.   After I presented my pitch and reflected on my feedback I completed a research self assessment checklist to ensure that I had done most, if not everything that was required for this campaign in these stages of the production. I believe i have done everything that I need to do at this stage. I have also reflected on what grade I believe I will receive a Merit, as upon reviewing the assessment criteria I believe that I have completed everything in the merit criteria, but not in the distinction criteria.

 For the Smile Campaign I created a pitch to present to an audience so I could receive feedback about my ideas. I presented my ideas to this audience as they were part of my target audience and I felt I could receive good feedback from members of my target audience.  After I presented the pitch to my audience I conducted a survey to receive adequate feedback about my ideas. Everyone in my audience answered yes to the question as to whether or not they enjoyed the pitch, and they found it interesting. Unfortunately I did not receive any worded feedback about what I could do better or improve, but I will continue to look over my ideas and constantly see if there is anything I can improve. Even though I did not receive feedback on anything that I could improve I will make sure that my product will take into account anything that I think can be improved.  Defining my target audience. I created a survey centered around mental health in aid of working on the smile campaign. I will use these survey results to help me create my advert. I have received numerous responses which I will review and use to define my target audience. I will also use these results to create an audience profile. An audience profile is often described as a fictitious character that is created or modelled after members of your target audience. Audience profiles can be created by taking data you have gathered from a form or survey that quite a lot of people have filled out to fully understand your target audience. When I created the survey I took into account the different types of people who would struggle with mental health. There is no certain group of people who struggle with mental health as everyone at some point in their lives struggle with it, no matter their age, gender or employment status.  As part of a project we had to film and edit footage to showcase editing skills. We did not use many different camera angles, mostly using  mid level shots, a few wide shots and one or two high shots. During the editing process I cut and shortened the shots that we took to fit them in to the end footage. I added sounds into the footage through a youtube to MP3 converter. There is a western music in the background through the entirety of the footage to simulate a western showdown. We had to include sound that fit with the footage and make the footage look smooth so that it did not look choppy- and so the finished footage ran smoothly.   Mind Client Research As part of the Smile Campaign I had to conduct client research on the Mind charity. I also had to analyse existing adverts. I have included the link to the PowerPoint for easy access, in which every part of research and analysis I completed as part of this campaign. I researched the client as a whole, and then I researched the campaigns that the Charity had done. After I had conducted research into mental health and the impact of smiling to reduce stress. I found out that smiling can actually reduce stress in people struggling with mental health. After I conducted this research I analysed three different adverts centred around mental health- and I used these adverts to aid me in figuring out my ideas for my own advert. The three adverts I analysed helped me to decide what I wanted to do for my advert- and which audience I wanted to target.
